Background
The City Law School is the first in London and University of London to educate students and practitioners at all stages of legal education. The School has made significant advances in both research and education and seeks to build upon that success to become one of the UK’s leading law schools as it takes advantage of the new regulatory landscape for legal education. An opportunity has arisen for two Course Officers to join us on fixed-term contracts.
Responsibilities
The appointed Course Officers will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of elements of the LLB programme. This will include responding to student queries, drafting student communications and documentation, maintaining accurate student records, administering assessments, supporting timetabling and attendance monitoring activity and arranging student events, including the induction programme.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent and have relevant experience of working in a busy customer-focused environment within a Higher Education or similar setting. They should be confident using IT systems, including MS office packages, spreadsheets and databases. Experience of Moodle and student records systems (particularly SITS) is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have well-developed verbal and written communication skills, excellent planning and organisational skills, the ability to analyse problems and identify solutions and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy. They will also be committed to delivering high quality services to students and staff.

There will be a short competency test to follow the interview that candidates should allocate an additional 30 mins for completion.
