Are you interested in working for a world top 100 University? The University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) have an exciting opportunity for a Project Delivery Manager to join the team at AMRC Cymru and help us place Wales amongst the most innovative regions in the UK.
You will be part of a well-established project management community that provides essential support to ensure the reputation of the AMRC. We are looking for a Project Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of the AMRC Cymru portfolio with direct line management for all AMRC project management staff located across both AMRC Cymru and HVMC Baglan. In this varied role you will be responsible for portfolio delivery to time, cost, and quality, as well as portfolio risk management; importantly identifying potentials risks and managing these as well as communicating and escalating to the Head of Operations as required. You will be accountable for the allocation of work to your direct reports, and coaching and developing staff with support from both the AMRC Cymru Head of Operations as well as the AMRC Head of Project Management. You should have experience of both leading teams as well as building and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally as you will represent the AMRC Cymru PM community on cross-AMRC working groups as well as being a point of escalation for all projects and programmes within the Cymru portfolio at all stages of the project lifecycle from initial concept and scoping through to delivery and closure.
