About the role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised administrative Assistant to join our Division of Human Resources. Working closely with the CSE HR Team in the College of Science and Engineering, you will provide high quality, confidential administrative and clerical support that enhances the reputation and effectiveness of the HR function. This varied role involves managing queries, supporting project work, arranging and coordinating committee meetings and communications across the College. In this varied role, you’ll use your administrative expertise and problem‑solving skills to support wide‑ranging activities, including casework coordination, report preparation, diary management, project support, formal notetaking and ensuring effective communication across the College.
You will play a key role in producing accurate management information, ensuring the smooth running of HR operations. Acting as the key point of contact for a broad range of basic HR queries, your ability to build relationships across the University and liaise with stakeholders will be essential in supporting HR operational matters and contributing to the delivery of high-quality services.
About you
You will be educated to A-Level or equivalent and bring significant experience in administrative support. Although previous experience in an HR environment would be advantageous, your excellent administration skills will be the biggest benefit to the team. A strong working experience of MS Office is essential, with experience using SAP or other HR Information Systems preferred. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise your workload are essential for success in this role.
We are looking for someone who is analytical, customer-focused and able to work flexibly as part of a team. Experience in higher education and working in line with company policies and procedures would be beneficial. At Leicester, we are proud to be inclusive, inspiring and impactful. If you share our values and are ready to contribute to a progressive and innovative workplace, we would love to hear from you.
