The University of Hull is proud to be a partner in IDEAL – Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship and Academic Learning for Creative Industries, an exciting EU-funded initiative focused on enhancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development in higher education. Through this project, we’re helping to equip students, graduates, and researchers with the tools they need to turn creative ideas into viable, high-impact ventures.
DEAL brings together universities, industry partners, and innovation networks across Europe to boost regional innovation, support start-up creation, and strengthen knowledge exchange between higher education institutions and the creative industries — particularly in fashion, digital design, and media. Key activities include developing entrepreneurial training, providing mentoring and startup support, and embedding innovation into university curricula.
At Hull, this aligns closely with our bold vision for a fairer, brighter, and carbon-neutral future, as set out in our University Strategic Plan 2030. Our Knowledge Exchange (KE) Directorate plays a crucial role in delivering this vision, supporting student and graduate entrepreneurship, developing innovation pipelines, and building partnerships that drive impact and economic growth. This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative, forward-looking project that directly supports our strategic priorities while delivering meaningful, real-world outcomes.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the post
