About the Role
The Alumni Engagement Manager plays a central role in strengthening relationships between the School of Business and Management and its alumni community, both in the UK and globally. Responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious alumni engagement strategy, the role focuses on increasing alumni participation, while enhancing student recruitment, employability and the wider student experience. Working closely with School colleagues and central alumni teams, the post-holder will lead events and communications programmes, manage staff and budgets, and establish clear metrics to demonstrate impact and guide future development.
About You
You are an experienced and proactive alumni engagement or development professional with a strong track record of building meaningful relationships and delivering high-quality engagement activities, ideally within a higher education, charity or membership-based environment. You combine excellent communication and project management skills with a creative, audience-focused approach to events, communications and community-building. Highly organised and confident working independently, you are comfortable managing budgets, using CRM systems, working with senior stakeholders, and balancing multiple priorities, with a genuine commitment to inclusivity, collaboration and service excellence.
