The School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, is seeking a Programme Manager to provide support to the Principal Investigator in the delivery of a programme of activities in the Quantum Information Group.
The Programme Manager will use advanced programme and project management methodologies to develop and oversee a delivery plan for a range of research projects and activities for which the Principal Investigator is responsible. The responsibilities will include liaising with other academic institutions and with public sector and industry partners, working with stakeholders, managing financial accounts as well as organising and supporting workshops. In addition, the role will also include overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of funded research held by the principal investigator and contributing to the delivery of the Quantum Information Group (procurement, deployment) within the School of Informatics.
The successful candidate will have a good honours degree (at least a 2:1) in a relevant subject or equivalent knowledge gained through substantial experience in a similar role, significant experience of the application of programme and project management methodologies in complex environments, a high level of numeracy with experience of financial accounting and reporting, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A higher degree in a relevant subject, a project management qualification and an accounting or finance qualification, are all desirable.
