We are seeking excellent candidates to join our internationally recognised research groups in the following areas:
Health Statistics contributes to a broad range of vitally important issues including minimising the impact of infectious diseases and emerging zoonotic diseases through vaccination strategies, understanding the transmission and intervention strategies for plant health, and modelling the risks to society from infections from animals entering the food chain.
Numerical Analysis is one of the largest and most highly regarded numerical analysis groups in the UK. The key research focus is on the construction and rigorous analysis of computational methods for algebraic and differential equations arising in a wide variety of application areas.
Stochastic Analysis has an internationally recognised research capability in the mathematical modelling of stochastic systems. The group specialises in the rigorous mathematical treatment of stochastic differential equations and time series analysis, and has made outstanding contributions to the numerical analysis of highly nonlinear stochastic differential equations.
We would love to hear from you if you have a PhD and postdoctoral research experience; an emerging publication history in high quality academic journals; and research interests which align with this area of strategic priority – particularly if you already hold an external fellowship that can be transferred to us.

You’ll be rewarded with:
* Your Fellowship will normally be at lecturer level (exceptionally, at senior lecturer (Grade 9) (£51,630 - £58,089) where you have a strong track record in research leadership) for 5 years, with the expectation that you’ll meet our promotion criteria within that period and be transferred to senior lecturer (or, where you’ve been appointed as a senior lecturer, Reader) level.
