We are looking for a new member of our team!

The Conference Officer will work as part of a team to deliver our programme of virtual and in-person scientific conferences and workshops for cancer researchers.

About you

We are looking for a friendly, hard-working and extremely organised person with a positive, can-do attitude. You will have experience of contributing to the organisation of conferences or events in a professional capacity. You might also have experience of organising virtual events through a platform such as Zoom, although this is not essential as we will provide training. You will be comfortable working independently and seeking help when needed. You will need to be confident, tenacious and have a great eye for detail. You must be willing and able to attend our in-person conferences which are held throughout Europe.

About the EACR

The European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) is Europe's largest membership organisation for cancer researchers, with more than 10,000 members in over 100 countries worldwide.

We provide our members with regular communication about all the latest news, jobs and cancer research conferences and give them opportunities to apply for funding. We organise conferences on the latest topics in cancer research, as well as webinars to help researchers develop their knowledge and skills.

About the team

We are a close knit team of 11, based at our headquarters on the University of Nottingham’s Innovation Park, with access to cafes, a gym, green space and free car parking. We are committed to a positive, friendly and proactive working environment, as well as opportunities for personal and professional development through training.

We offer employees a comprehensive benefits package including an excellent pension scheme and generous annual leave (30 days per year plus bank holidays and a further 5 days of office closure).
