We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to make a leading contribution to the Improving patient safety during a pandemic: using patient and professional experience to improve patient safety-netting in remote consultations, study. This study aims to explore the nature and experience of patient safety issues arising during remote consultations, from the perspective of patients and practitioners and practices; and to develop resources to mitigate against such safety incidents through improved safety-netting.

The postholder will work with project principal investigator (PI) Professor Sara Macdonald who is leading the study and also be part of the wider study team, including the co-investigators, Professor Paul Bowie, Dr. David Blane, Dr. Louisa Harding-Edgar, Dr. Tracy Ibbotson, Lynn Laidlaw and Professor Kate O’Donnell.

Successful candidates will be qualified to SCQF level 12 (PhD) or alternatively possess the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience, with experience of personal development in a similar or related role(s) and have experience collecting and analysing qualitative data, with healthcare professionals and healthcare users.

This post is full time with funding for up to 15 months.
