Job description

The Faculty of Arts & Humanities is looking to appoint an outstanding candidate with experience of research administration to this diverse and rewarding role.

The post-holder will be responsible for providing administrative support to academic staff in the Cluster/Departments, working closely with the Research Manager and the Faculty Research & Engagement Team, as well as support for PGR (MPhil/PhD) students in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.

The post-holder will assist the Cluster/Department Research Leads and the Research Manager in coordinating the department response to the next Research Excellence Framework and other formal assessments/reports. They will work with Research Leads and research groups to develop and enhance an excellent departmental research culture, help to promote funding opportunities to staff and PhD students, and work with the relevant officers and offices within King’s College and with research funders to secure and manage grants.

The post-holder will have good communication and organisational skills, and confidence in managing the implementation of changes in procedures and processes. They will have the ability to contribute effectively as part of a team, manage their time effectively, and respond positively to changing priorities.
