Cambridge University Libraries (CUL) has a Strategic Priority for Strong foundations for the Future, with a vision for a collaborative and coordinated library service supporting all academic departments and faculties and framed round the University's mission, and therefore are looking to appoint an HR Change Manager.

This role is integral to pacing ourselves through change and demonstrating the value we place on all staff, as well as for staff engagement and involvement in service planning. The CUL workforce comprises approximately 450 members of staff and volunteers who are spread over more than 30 sites and are testing approaches to hybrid working.

You will be responsible for setting the standards, defining and leading the planning and delivery of HR Organisational Change processes and change management activities across CUL, including the establishment and monitoring of change activities. Ensuring activities or projects are delivered to schedule and following all legislative and University requirements. 

Leading the development of a change culture within CUL, you will develop and influence strategy and plans, actively advising and supervising implementation.  You will focus on the people side of change. Changes may include business procedures, processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisation structures. 

You will develop engagement and feedback mechanisms for changes, to support the change process, working with a range of staff at all levels in the organisation.

The post holder will be managed by the Head of Governance and Strategic Support Office, working closely with the CUL Human Resources Business Partner.

The role requires the post holder to have a regular on site presence, but there are opportunities to work a mixture of onsite and remotely. If you would like to discuss this before applying, please contact Jennie Digby. There will also be an opportunity to discuss this further at interview.

This post is for a fixed term of 3 years in the first instance, however we would welcome applications from those wishing to undertake this as a secondment opportunity (for up to 2 years).
