It is an exciting time to join the Business School at Queen Margaret University. We are in the process of redeveloping all of our undergraduate degree programmes and plan to offer several new specialist routes, including analytics and human resource management. The Business School made a submission to REF for the first time in 2021 and we are now reflecting on how to build on that work to develop a reputation for business research that aligns with the university-wide commitment to social justice. The Business School at Queen Margaret University has a real focus on the student experience and developing opportunities for applied and authentic learning. Small year groups mean we get to know our students and can work collaboratively with them to develop and enhance our programmes.

The successful candidates will be able to deliver excellent teaching and pursue innovative research in the field of business management. They will have previous experience as a university lecturer and will be a committed educator, supervisor, and outstanding communicator.

Please visit our vacancies site to view more information about our Business School and the job descriptions for each post. You will be able to register on our recruitment portal to complete the application form www.qmu.ac.uk/business-school-vacancies

Applicants should be free to take up these roles from January 2023 at the latest.

For an informal chat about these roles please contact Dr. Majella Sweeney, Head of Business School by email MSweeney@qmu.ac.uk.

Should you have any queries regarding the application process or require any special assistance please contact Human Resources on 0131 474 0000 or email recruitment@qmu.ac.uk

As a university, we are committed to the Researcher Development Concordat and were, in fact, the first Scottish Higher Education Institute (and part of the first UK cohort of institutes) to publicly declare our commitment to its principles.

Queen Margaret University is committed to equality of opportunity for all by providing a supportive, flexible and inclusive working environment, and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. Please have a look at our Diversity, Wellbeing and Inclusion Calendar.

We are proud to hold an Athena SWAN Bronze Award which recognises the advancement of gender equality at QMU. Find out more about Athena SWAN here.  We have a number of family friendly policies and are happy to consider job share applications.
