Univ is seeking an Executive Chef to lead a dedicated and busy catering team. The post holder is responsible for the successful delivery of the College catering effort including the external income generating business and will have the responsibility to oversee the formulation of the catering offer of the building project at Univ North which starts to come on line in 2024.
The catering team serves approximately 600 students and 250 staff throughout the academic and calendar year. Hot and cold food is provided daily to around 350 diners and up to 170 four course plated dinners on up to 3 nights a week. Summer schools, conference catering and private diners are also covered.
You will ensure high standards of food and beverage production. You will also ensure that administrative and hospitality standards of delivery are outstanding at all times.
This role is vital to the College’s catering operations and would suit a pro-active manager and leader with demonstrable experience of delivering successful catering operations of a similar scale. The ideal candidate will be capable of providing leadership in complex situations and displaying extraordinary skills to engage with different stakeholders.
You will also have an appropriate professional qualifications or equivalent in terms of experience. A good knowledge of project management methodology is desirable.
