About the Role
The Employability Manager will manage the successful delivery of a new employability programme within The Open University (OU) in Wales. The programme is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) and will support the students and graduates most removed from the labour market to access employability and work experience support. This is an exciting new role that has the potential to transform the lives of OU students.
The post holder will manage the strategic development of engagement with employers and providing oversight to the work of Employability Advisors. You will have the opportunity to shape the new programme, supporting an initial caseload and leading on collaboration with OU colleagues and key external stakeholders.
You will identify and promote employment, volunteering and placement opportunities for OU students and alumni, championing students from underrepresented groups, and forge strong relationships with internal partners and stakeholders who also work with employers, to ensure an integrated approach across the university.
