The Department of Population Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the London International Development Centre (LIDC) are seeking a highly motivated Communications Officer for the URKI GCRF Action Against Stunting Hub to lead and manage the Hub’s communications. The role holder will work closely with colleagues in the Action Against Stunting Hub, LIDC at LSHTM.
The ideal candidate should have experience in developing and rolling out a communications strategy, as well as experience in event organisation and stakeholder outreach. Higher education to degree level or equivalent, with substantial relevant experience of working in media and communications within a higher education, global and public health, or science environment is essential. The role holder should have experience of writing, editing and managing the production of a range of communications including reports, policy briefs, media features, websites, blogs and video. This post is full-time and fixed term for 1 year in the first instance with a possibility to extend depending on funding. The post is funded by UKRI GCRF and is available as soon as possible.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 5 in the range £36,438 - £41,829 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London International Development Centre (20 Bloomsbury Square, London WC1A 2NS).
