The Teacher Training ITE programmes and team sit inside the wider subject area of Education within the School of Social Sciences & Professions. The subject area comprises of non-QTS Undergraduate programmes in Education and Primary Education, a Masters in Education and Level 3 Foundation year programmes.

ABOUT THE POST

This is a fixed-term post for 12 months from the date of commencement.

This is a new fixed term post within the ITE team in the Education subject area. The aim of the role is to ensure high quality collaborative training partnership is in place to support the development of current and future training opportunities for London Met Student Teachers in line with the Department of Education ITT Market Review.

The role will work closely with the Placements and Partnerships Officer to ensure successful placements are in place. They will develop an attractive partnership offer to encourage schools and other stakeholders to work with London Metropolitan University.

The post holder will develop and strengthen the ITE partnerships with schools and other key stakeholders by good communication with all stakeholders, further develop the Partnership Steering Group and report to our ITE Quality Committee. There will be liaison with our Marketing department to ensure there is regular promotion of a high quality partnership offer and work closely with the University Outreach team

The post holder will also quality assure the London Met schools partnerships and contribute to PSRB regulated activity including preparation for and inclusion in inspections.

This post will be subject to a basic DBS check.
