PDRA (up to 3 years): Building to Urban Boundary Layer scale Meteorology
You will be involved in state-of-the-art urban meteorological research being undertaken by an international multi-disciplinary team developing, evaluating and applying the next generation of weather and climate models, and also considering what atmospheric observations are needed in cities in the future. This work is being undertaken within three projects (EPSRC-FUTURE, NERC-ASSURE and ERC-urbisphere) that span fundamental atmospheric processes to integrated urban services. You will take a leading role analysing real world observations, while working closely with others undertaking wind-tunnel observations, numerical modelling (LES, NWP, Climate, ABM) and others analysing observations.
