Swansea University currently offers 9 different degree programmes in Healthcare Science, which makes it the largest provider of Healthcare Science undergraduate training in the UK. Healthcare Science sits within the School of Health and Social Care. Nearly all of the commissioned programmes from Welsh Government sit within this School. Healthcare Science is joined by Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Science in the School. This creates a culture of professional training and interdisciplinary education.

The successful candidate will join the Healthcare Science academic unit. The Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer will be responsible for teaching part of the subject-specific element of the BSc in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology). There will also be an expectation that the successful candidate supports the running of the post-graduate modules in Cardiac Physiology.

The Faculty are looking to appoint a qualified Cardiac Physiologist with experience of working in the NHS, who is registered with the Registration Council of Clinical Physiologists as a Cardiac Physiologist or registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Scientist in Cardiac Physiology. Please note, we would welcome applications from those considering a secondment from the NHS.
