Oxford Brookes University is looking to recruit an experienced, reliable and highly motivated Carpenter as a member of the Estates team to undertake planned, preventative and responsive maintenance across residential and academic buildings within the University Estate, working on both commercial and domestic buildings. Our Carpenters play a proactive role within a motivated and innovative team, delivering key objectives to meet directorate and university wide requirements.

Overall Purpose of the post of Carpenter:
To carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance of all the University’s Estate property portfolio.
Qualifications and Experience for the post of Carpenter:

Qualifications: A recognised apprenticeship in carpentry / joinery. NVQ Level 2-3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification or qualified through proven significant practical experience in buildings maintenance discipline.
Experience: Significant post apprenticeship operational experience in chosen discipline plus proven practical multi-discipline operational experience in other building maintenance areas.
