We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.
The Role
We are looking to appoint a Research Assistant to support an NIHR School for Social Care funded study on Bathing Adaptations in the Homes of Older Adults - The BATH-OUT-2 Trial. This study is taking place across local authorities in England. This post will involve data collection with older adults, primarily over the telephone, although some local and national travel may be required.
The main purpose of the post is to work as an integral part of the ‘BATH-OUT-2' project team, which is conducting a Randomised Controlled Trial of expedited versus routine provision of bathing adaptations. The project is a collaboration between Newcastle University, Northumbria University, University of York, University of Nottingham, and local authorities and focuses on the impact of bathing adaptations for older adults.
This is a part-time post (0.5 FTE), fixed-term until 31 October 2023, with the potential for a further extension.
