An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Occupational Safety Health and Environment team in the department of Health Professions at Manchester Metropolitan University.

The post holder would be expected to make a contribution to our research increasing our 3* and 4* output and our international reputation.

The Faculty of Health and Education is located in the purpose-built Brooks and in the Cavendish building, with first-class facilities for research and teaching in our cognate disciplines. These include purpose-built nutrition and dietetics laboratories, sensory labs, a virtual CAVE (Computational Automatic Virtual Environment- an immersive experiential learning environment) and a physiotherapy and wellbeing clinic (The Manchester Movement Unit). In addition, there are outstanding opportunities for developing industry and research collaborations through our Research Centre in Health, Psychology and Communities and with colleagues across the University.

We are looking for:
A minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, together with a PhD, or PhD in progress/near completion, or equivalent significant professional and research experience; a PGCE, Certificate of Education, PGCLTHE or Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy or an agreed professional equivalent (or commitment to obtain within three years of initial appointment); membership of relevant professional bodies and chartered membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), demonstrating professional standing; industry teaching and/or research experience and significant industry experience in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Management and related fields.

You will also receive an additional discretionary payment of 2% per annum, which is in recognition of staff contribution to the University's achievements and which will be added to your base salary each month until 31st July 2023.
