About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead on project management and provide operational oversight for the University’s research and knowledge exchange (RKE) projects, as well as coordinating the development of new opportunities. The role includes but is not limited to financial and consortium management, event coordination and management, implementation of the communication activities, and undertake bid-writing for new proposals and future projects
As well as support multi-disciplinary teams of researchers, from across the university and other partners, and working alongside other members of the RKE team to provide an excellent project management service. You will be allocated research projects from the team's portfolio and will work closely key academic staff, university support services staff as well as external partners from various projects’ consortia and funding bodies to deliver the projects, including ensuring progress against milestone and financial targets, highlighting and managing risks as appropriate, and in doing so becoming an integral part of the project team.
About You
We are looking for self-starters with excellent problem-solving and project management skills, together with a positive ‘can-do' attitude. You will have a degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in a relevant discipline or significant experience of working in project management, excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally as well as excellent organizational and time management skills.
