We are looking for a person experienced in a finance-based discipline to join our team! 

University College of Estate Management (UCEM) is a long-standing and leading provider of supported online education. UCEM’s ambition is to transform into a research-informed institution and this role is part of the development of that transformation and will be pivotal in establishing effective administrative processes and a robust approach to costing and managing research funding. You will be managing the research bid process and ensuring all research activities are costed, tracked and reported appropriately. This is an exciting opportunity to work across several teams, to develop and deliver upon new processes, procedures and support for both staff and student so that they can excel at research. 

Your key responsibilities will centre around:

  • Working with internal stakeholders to ensure a robust and effective approach to costing is established and developed to meet ongoing needs
  • Prepare research costings following the principles of full economic costing (FEC)
  • Provide practical and financial project management for all awards ensuring that project milestones are tracked and ensure funder requirements, including audit requirements, are met
  • Support bidding for funding, including scanning for and appraising opportunities, co-ordinating documentation, obtaining internal approval and recording applications.
  • Liaising and co-ordinating functions with other departments to ensure support for Postgraduate research students 

To deliver these responsibilities we need your project management skills or experience leading implementation projects. You must have experience in a finance-based discipline and show excellent attention to detail.
