The University of Manchester has a vacancy for a Research Assistant to play a vital role on a prestigious NIHR - National Institute for Health Research grant providing research administration to manage, co-ordinate and support projects in Public Health Dentistry.

We are seeking an innovative, motivated and capable individual interested in health science research and will be involved in an observational study following children’s oral health through various services in Greater Manchester. The post holder will work with the Chief Investigator and research team to coordinate and complete the project. They will have excellent communication and organisation skills. Previous experience in the management and co-ordination of research studies is desirable but not essential.

The post holder will be based at the University of Manchester, but will be required to visit the various study sites around Greater Manchester and so independent means of travel is essential. The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS.

As this role involves research at a postgraduate level, applicants who are not an EEA national or a national of an exempt country and who will require sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route of the UK Visas and Immigration’s (UKVI) Points Based System in order to take up the role, will be required to apply for an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) Certificate and will need to obtain this prior to making any official visa application UKVI)
