Applications are invited for a full-time, permanent Teaching Fellow in the Department of Psychology, School of Life Sciences and the Environment. The post is available starting latest September 2023.
The post holder will work as part of our academic team in a dynamic and supportive environment that is known internationally for its outstanding research and teaching. There is a strong research environment, with the Department ranked 3rd in the UK in the 2021 REF for our world-leading and internationally excellent research. We consistently achieve high levels of student satisfaction in the NSS, with overall satisfaction levels typically over 90%. There is a strong culture of support for Teaching Focused academics within the Department, with regular training and career development opportunities.
The role involves teaching, supervision, and administration across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one of the applied areas of psychology (e.g. clinical, forensic, health, applied social, developmental, occupational), although applicants with expertise in other areas will also be considered. Applicants should hold a PhD, have experience of conducting high quality psychological research, and have the ability to make strong contributions to our taught programmes at UG and PGT levels. They should be enthusiastic about delivering effective high-quality teaching, with prior experience in teaching and research, and ideally experience in course coordination, curriculum development and/or broader initiatives to enhance student experience.
The post is based in Egham, Surrey, where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance of London.
