This is an exciting opportunity to join Bangor University in helping us build a unique bilingual offer with Screen Academy North Wales - a highly collaborative initiative aimed at boosting opportunity for young people regionally to access workplace opportunities at Wales’ film and television production studios. This is a ground-breaking initiative that demands a value-led and pragmatic approach to working with industry, HE, FE and schools in North Wales.
Screen Academy North Wales is part of a brand-new network of Screen Academies based in universities and studios across Wales. The north Wales academy will focus particularly on boosting skills and opportunities in bilingual studio production.
Educated to degree level, or possess equivalent professional experience, the role holder will develop and help deliver a collaborative business plan and provide effective day to day management of Bangor University’s Screen Academy North Wales in Aria Studios, Llangefni, Anglesey (ariafilmstudios.com). The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the Academy as a shared resource, providing ongoing support to Bangor University Film, Media and Journalism courses and other educational partners including FE Colleges and Screen Alliance Wales as they seek to access and engage with these new facilities.
Candidates should have good understanding of film and television production and have experience of managing projects and budgets. Good administrative and communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post, as is the requirement of a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
