The Role
Software Licensing & Asset Manager
An exciting opportunity to manage software licenses and IT hardware and software assets within the ITDS department on behalf of the University. The post holder will be part of a business-critical team ensuring assets are managed and maintained using the Snow asset management system and ServiceNow. They will coordinate the purchase of new and replacement hardware and software from approved suppliers, maintain renewals of existing licenses and subscriptions – including Microsoft, Adobe, Dell and other major players in the Higher Education sector, liaising with both internal stakeholders from across the University as well as with existing and new suppliers.
This is an essential role in a busy department and it will be useful if the postholder has previous experience working in Procurement the Public Education sector; be highly proactive, confident with engaging with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders, have excellent time management and communication skills to ensure delivery and full lifecycle management of IT assets.
This is a specialist role and the role holder will be seen as the specialist in this field.

The University currently operates a Hybrid Working framework involving a mix of working from remotely and in the office. Typically, the majority of employees will be able to agree to work remotely for up to 60% of their working week, role dependent, however will be required to attend on specific days for training or team meetings.
