Academic Services provides high quality professional services to students, staff and external stakeholders. Academic Services enable and deliver, where appropriate, institution wide change, affecting improvements in key strategic areas to enhance the Swansea student experience and is proud to hold the Cabinet Office’s Customer Service Excellence and Investors in People Silver Awards.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Strategic Communication & Engagement Development Officer to join the Student Partnership & Engagement Services team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to manage the delivery of high-quality communication and engagement with key stakeholders for the Directorate including Academic Services staff, University staff in our Faculties and Professional Services, students and other stakeholders. The postholder will work closely with the Head of Student Partnership and Engagement Services, Director and Executive Leadership Team to ensure timely, appropriate and vital communications and this role will be key to ensuring the Directorate shares information effectively and consistently via all channels and particularly the web and social media.
Candidates should have a Degree level qualification or have equivalent professional experience with excellent communication skills, the ability to influence and engage customers through oral communication, writing, presentations, events and networking; with proven ability to use language, visual and digital skills to ensure brand compliance and promotion. In addition candidates should have significant experience working in a communications or marketing focussed role within a multi-faceted organization, developing and implementing communication plans and strategies to a range of audiences.
