About the role
This is an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Learning and Teaching Fellow to join the School of Nursing & Midwifery within the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine. In this role you will inspire best practice, acting as a key leader and expert advisor in the design, development, and delivery of the School of Nursing & Midwifery portfolio of programmes such as those that lead to registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and continuing professional development (CPD).
As a Senior Learning and Teaching Fellow, you will take a lead role in academic planning, curriculum review and quality, contributing to learning, teaching and assessment strategy. You will develop, apply, and promote innovative teaching techniques and contribute to teaching excellence across the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Faculty and the University through offering feedback and guidance.
You will demonstrate peer recognition, value and impact at a regional and national level, and international reach within this field.
You will contribute to the advancement of new knowledge through peer reviewed conferences, articles in learned journals and keynote addresses at meetings of a high academic standing. In addition, you will lead School of Nursing & Midwifery submissions for internal and external learning and teaching awards and recognition, liaising with the University Centre for Learning & Teaching.

About you
A registered nurse with PhD or other research and peer-reviewed publications in the SoTL (pedagogic research and application and integration of knowledge into learning and teaching), you will be an expert in the field, demonstrating experience of undertaking educational leadership roles, with track record of pedagogic leadership.
In this role it will require you to have effective leadership skills such as influencing, communication and engaging with others i.e., internal, and external stakeholders.
