The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a Clinical Skills Simulation Teaching Technician who will contribute to the delivery of teaching practical classes in the Clinical Skills Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in supporting teaching utilising complex equipment.
You will provide technical support for complex simulation equipment used in the Clinical Skills Centre, reporting to the Clinical Skills Centre Manager. You will play a key part in ensuring that equipment such as High Fidelity Manikins, Immersive Equipment and the Anti-Gravity Treadmill are utilised to their full potential, ensuring academic staff are trained and supported in their use. In addition, you will work with academic colleagues from across the Faculty in the development of new practical scenarios that utilise our specialist equipment. For this role you will need to be supportive and flexible within the team with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills.
This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week) Monday to Friday; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
