Clinical Research Centre
We are recruiting an individual with experience of clinical trial management to join us as a Clinical Research Project Manager within our Clinical Research Centre (CRC), to support and manage the delivery clinical research studies; this includes Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPS). This is a fixed-term appointment for 12 months in the first instance.
The post holder is responsible for coordinating, supporting, managing, and delivering on a portfolio of research studies supported by the Clinical Research Centre Tayside (CRC), ensuring that these projects are set-up and coordinated from the initial enquiry, ensuring all the approvals in place prior to commencing, this includes internal CRC approvals, to launch the projects and subsequent monitoring of process.
Provide clinical investigators from professional groups with expert information, practical assistance, and the resources they require for clinical research. These requirements include resourcing, and staffing assistance, preparation of trial paperwork and assistance with applications for the necessary approvals required for each study. Provide on-going oversight of recruitment of patients, quality assurance, data collection and study closure.
Manage and support a portfolio of research projects in accordance with Research Governance, all applicable regulatory requirements, and if applicable with standards as outlined in Good Clinical Practice regulations. The Project Manager will apply sound project management techniques to ensure that all investigators using the resources of the CRC have access to high quality clinical research project management services.
Will be line managed by the CRC Co-Director who will allocate research projects to the Project Manager. The Project Manager will have close links with and will work in team partnership with the clinical study teams and with colleagues within the CRC.
