We are looking for a talented Technology Trainer to join our IT Team. You will need to be motivated and forward thinking with enthusiasm for end user focused IT and Assistive technology innovation.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering inclusive Assistive and Digital Technology training and the promotion of IT developments and Assistive Technology for students and staff; supporting and enhancing digital capabilities across the university. You will also be responsible for keeping ahead of Assistive Technology developments in software / hardware / processes and ensure the University provides the highest level of Assistive Technology support and guidance to our students and staff.
You will have experience in teaching or training, as well as proven experience writing courses or training sessions and experience in delivering training online and in-person. You will be able to deliver training to all ability levels through applying your communication skills and reacting and adapting quickly. Flexibility and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.
You will support IT innovation through developing training packages aligned to new or updated IT services across an array of technology spectrums. This includes, but is not limited to Microsoft 365, cloud-based services such as unified communication and collaboration technologies and immersive/simulation technologies.
Candidates who can demonstrate a mix of IT knowledge and experience whilst demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication and training skills will have a distinct advantage.
The role, whilst directly supporting Technology IT Teams, will also work closely and communicate with wider teams (both IT and institute aligned) including the Centre for Digital Transformation, external suppliers and stakeholders to improve services to the direct benefit of student, staff and partners.
You will be expected to display engaging interaction skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Your technical competency and professional experience will be continuously enriched as the digital environment in which we operate continues to change.
Hybrid working arrangements can be supported for this role in line with business need (including travel to all university campuses as/when needed).
