We are looking to recruit a Commercial and Contracts Manager to join our Enterprise and Partnerships team at the School of Healthcare Enterprise and Innovation (HEI) as our work continues to expand.
Who are we?
The School of HEI sits within the Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Southampton’s Science Park, Chilworth. The School is home to several high-profile government contracts, such as the NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC) and the Southampton Health Technology Assessment Centre (SHTAC), as well as other consultancy services and strategic new business. The NETSCC contract is the largest enterprise contract held by the University.
HEI delivers nationally important, internationally recognised work. Our capabilities are broad, ranging from public/patient involvement in research, priority setting, research funding, managing the delivery of research, publishing and disseminating research findings.
What is the role?
The post-holder will lead on contract monitoring and management activities in relation to the NETSCC contract and other contracts secured and managed through the School.

You will have a good understanding of procuring and managing commercial contracts and be able to translate contractual obligations into service delivery requirements. Training will be provided to ensure you are able to work within HEI and University guidelines but some of the key skills we look for in a candidate are:
