We are looking to recruit an experienced academic with a healthcare professional background to join UEA School of Pharmacy. You will lead innovations, evaluations and dissemination of knowledge associated with work-based learning and simulation in healthcare. You will be expected to strengthen existing links with key stakeholders across the University and externally to further develop interprofessional and work-based learning. You will be expected to make a full contribution to teaching, predominantly focussed at undergraduate level of the Pharmacy (MPharm) programme, as well as at post graduate level on our Newly Qualified Pharmacists (NQP) and Independent Prescribing (IP) programmes.
The MPharm programme at UEA is highly regarded for its innovation and focus on practical application of skills. In this role the successful candidate will use their contemporary experience of healthcare education and passion for developing others to contribute and lead aspects of teaching and administration in the School. They will focus on the practical application of developing autonomous independent practitioners to develop the next generation of pharmacy professionals. They will join a growing, committed and friendly staff team and work collaboratively with colleagues across the School, Faculty and wider University to support the learning, teaching and assessment in pharmacy and healthcare courses. With support and mentorship, they will be given the opportunity to grow and develop as an academic healthcare professional.
The ideal candidate will be a registered healthcare professional with experience of academic working practice. They will need to have track record of evaluating and disseminating healthcare education innovations and must be passionate about developing the next generation of pharmacy professionals. They will be expected to build an international reputation for their expertise in healthcare education.
This full-time post is available from May 2023 on an indefinite basis.
