The Opportunity
This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s Faculty of Natural Sciences. The Faculty is responsible for the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences.
The School is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer in any area of chemistry, initially on a fixed-term basis until 31st July 2025. The successful candidate will undertake teaching, research, administration and other activities assigned by the Head of School in an appropriate area chemistry.
You will possess a degree or equivalent qualification in chemistry or a related discipline and a PhD in chemistry. You will be expected to show significant achievement in research and will have the potential to develop and/or maintain an internationally competitive program of research in any area of chemistry that complements existing research in the School. In addition, you will have the ability to deliver teaching in your cognate area, as you will be expected to play a significant role in teaching and administration as part of the Chemistry teaching team. In particular, you will be expected to offer high quality teaching and mentoring on the Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry programmes. The role will also include supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. The post will suit candidates who wish to pursue an independent academic career in the future.
