Grade 8 (Lecturer): £44,737 - £53,353 per annum with potential to progress to £60,027 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.
Grade 9 (Senior Lecturer): £56,592 - £63,373 per annum with potential to progress to £73,786 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Medical Computing, in a role that combines academic research, translation of your work into clinical impact, and teaching. Affiliated both with the Department of Computer Science, University of Sheffield, andSheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STH), you will combine academic and NHS-based knowledge, skills, and expertise within the broad field of clinical computing.
Specifically, you will develop and implement technological solutions to support the delivery of more effective and more efficient healthcare. The role will have a non-exclusive focus, at apatient-level, on mobile health and personalisation, and at a system-level, on the intelligent use of data in line with future health and care strategic plans.
You will hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related area. We are seeking candidates with a track record in researching, designing, developing and/or transferring innovative digital technologies with the full involvement of stakeholders. You will have relevant experience within a hospital or other healthcare setting, or equivalent relevant experience. The post is supported by a generous start-up package including funds for equipment/travel and a PhD studentship (covering UK tuition fee and stipend for 3.5 years).
