The role
We are seeking to appoint a talented qualitative/social science researcher with an interest in public health, Hepatitis C Virus and/or Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs). The postholder join the successful UKCRC-registered Bristol Trials Centre (BTC), based at the University of Bristol 5* Population Health Sciences, Bristol Medical School. The main purpose of this job is to contribute to the Unit’s portfolio of high-quality clinical research, particularly in the use of qualitative methods within randomised controlled trials.
The appointed researcher will primarily work on the Evaluating the Population Impact of Hepatitis Direct Acting Antiviral Treatment as Prevention for People Who Inject Drugs (EPIToPe) study. The post holder will primarily be responsible for conducting the qualitative evaluation of a community-based Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) treatment which will entail recruiting, data collection and analysis of interviews.
The post is for 50% FTE (17.5 hours a week) with funding available for 1 year.
What will you be doing?
