Full Time, Fixed Term - Researcher
Applications are invited for the Research Fellowship scheme in the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences, Oxford Brookes University. This is an exciting opportunity to develop an independent research group through a five-year research Fellowship.
We are looking for an early-career researcher with an existing track record in the application of big data to conservation/ecology/ behavioural ecology and integrating AI approaches. Specifically, your research should be interdisciplinary and show that you can generate large data sets and work across domains and taxa to complement the existing strengths of the department.
We would be especially interested to meet researchers who bring a field experimental system or who have a proven track record of interdisciplinary research in the above.
The appointed Research Fellow will be provided with a 5-year 100% research position providing long-term, flexible support to develop an independent research career. You will be assigned a mentor in the department and will have access to high-quality professional development and networking opportunities as well as competitive internal pump-priming, research funding and fully funded studentships.
Research in the department is supported by our Centres for Bioimaging and Functional Genomics which house cutting edge equipment. We are part of the Euro-bioimaging network and play an active role in University cross-departmental research networks.
