An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Senior Statistical role for Early Phase Clinical Trials within the Liverpool Clinical Trials Centre (LCTC). The purpose of this post is to contribute a leading role to the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of results of early and later phase clinical trials within the portfolio of research of the LCTC as well as the development of members of statistical team. Under the supervision of the Head of Statistics and working alongside other senior statisticians you will work manage a diverse range of clinical trials encompassing both early and later phase trial designs, and gain experience across a variety of interventions including medicinal products, surgery, devices, and educational and behavioural interventions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide statistical input in to grant applications, the development of clinical trial protocols, and statistical analysis plans. You will be involved in the development of risk assessments and monitoring plans, supervise both interim and final analyses, and participate in the quality control and assurance processes within LCTC. You will a MSc in Biostatistics (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience). You will have a good understanding of study design, analysis and programming skills in SAS or R. Excellent communications skills are essential. Appointment is dependent on the level of experience in clinical trials, and statistical programming. This is a full-time fixed term appointment for 2 years in the first instance.
