Do you have the skills and expertise to help Midland’s manufacturing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) innovate and improve? The WMG SME Group are seeking an Innovation Manager to help to deliver on our Digital Innovation for Manufacturing (DI4M) project. The project helps manufacturing SMEs to benefit from the latest in digital manufacturing technologies and thinking, helping them become more sustainable, productive and competitive.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Management / Business Development, either within an SME or working with SMEs in the supply chain, with an understanding of at least one or more of the following:
We are looking for a great communicator and someone who is client-focused and has a proven track record of success with the ability to get things done working independently and within a team. The ability to build relationships with industrial and academic collaborators to harness capability, and to shape opportunities for business growth, is essential. Ideally, you will have experience of, or a drive to further, digital manufacturing and /or low emission mobility (such as vehicle electrification or intelligent vehicles) and a passion for working with manufacturing companies.

This appointment is dependent upon part funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), for the project Digital Innovation for Manufacturing (DI4M), project number 50R18P02791, supported by the HVM Catapult, and will be subject to the continuation of both the availability of funding and the projects.
