Applications are invited for a Lecturer/Assistant Professor position in Radiography and Diagnostic Imaging within the UCD School of Medicine for a maternity leave, specified purpose contract. The post is due to commence from June 2023.
This post offers an exciting opportunity for a clinically skilled radiographer to gain experience in teaching and to broaden their professional experiences. Radiography and Diagnostic Imaging in the UCD School of Medicine is the national centre for undergraduate Radiography education. It also offers a graduate entry radiography pathway and a range of taught graduate courses and CPD offerings. The post will involve teaching and support of diagnostic imaging-specific modules and the provision of high-quality scholarship and contribution to the delivery and assessment. An opportunity to gain research experience will be provided. The successful candidate will gain skills in 2D and 3D virtual reality teaching and other diverse education practices.
Applicants must hold a primary qualification in Radiography and be eligible to register on the Radiographers Register, CORU, in addition to a demonstration of enthusiasm for research.
The University will particularly welcome applications from those who can best further the development and integration of the Radiography and Diagnostic Imaging Section of the School and foster collaboration with other disciplines and institutions nationally and internationally.
