We are looking for a motivated and proactive team member to take responsibility for data administration within the Apprenticeships and Professional Programmes team. If you are keen and ready to consider building a professional career in higher education administration, we would be pleased to hear from you.
Main duties and responsibilities
Your work will include maintaining the Individualised Learner Record (ILR) and producing Government returns to the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). You will support processes related to reporting on ILR data and the associated funding, ensuring accurate and timely completion of ILR administration in full compliance with ESFA and University requirements.
You will acquire a sound knowledge of those parts of the University’s Management Information Systems and other support systems and equipment that are appropriate to the area of work. You will be accountable for the accuracy of the data entered into the student record system and ensuring compliance with the University’s statutory duties.
Skills and experience required
This is a data-driven role, and the ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and good IT skills, with experience of using a range of software in previous job roles and particular confidence in using Excel.
It is essential to bring a willingness to be flexible in time and in workload to support effective team working and to facilitate seamless customer service to our partners. You should be able to demonstrate excellent accuracy and attention to detail, alongside good communications skills with an ability to work effectively with key individuals internally and externally. Furthermore, you will have good organisational and IT skills and the ability to use initiative with a flexible approach in delivering to deadlines.
It is essential that you have appropriate proven administrative experience in a complex and dynamic organisation. Specific experience working in HE/FE funding or students records would be an advantage but is not essential for a candidate with the right skills.
