About the vacancy: Student and Academic Services strive to continually enhance the student experience. From the first point of registration to graduation and beyond, our team of over 400 professional staff is committed to enhancing the student experience and ensuring that every student is able to make the most of the extensive opportunities available throughout their journey. This is enabled by working closely with all areas of the University, the Students’ Union and a wide range of external stakeholders.
We are responsible for developing and maintaining the comprehensive regulatory and quality management and enhancement framework that underpins the University’s academic provision, including support for the academic governance structures. We take responsibility for ensuring that the quality and standards of the University’s awards are maintained and enhanced across the organisation, and in its current and future academic partnerships.
About you: We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Academic Governance team. You will develop expertise in key areas of higher education administration and gain valuable insight into how universities work, working closely with senior colleagues from across UWE.
You’ll be flexible and adaptable to ensure that the committees we support are effective. Responsibilities include: preparation and circulation of papers, minutes and action logs; leading on specific projects within the Academic Governance team; coordinating the management of records; and supporting the communications work within the Student and Academic Services area.
