We are now looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Careers Development Consultant to join the team, to provide career guidance and skills development that supports students in pursuing their desired career path.  

The Role:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to really make a difference to our students. As someone with proven experience in Careers Guidance and predicting future job opportunities, you will be in an ideal position to provide career guidance and career development planning to students across the university. 

Our award-winning team will offer an innovative and supportive environment. Furthermore, you will have the chance to work with diverse academic colleagues who are committed to empowering students, helping them to make the most of their time at university, and enabling them to take their next steps into the professional world.

As well as offering online and face to face 1:1 appointments we encourage innovative ways of working with programme teams to embed employability opportunities and assist students to develop the professional skills they need to succeed in the workplace.

What we will need from you:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Careers Guidance (PGD).
  • A demonstrable history of continuing professional development in the area of Careers Guidance and predicting future job opportunities.
  • Previous experience of working in delivery of careers education, advice and guidance in a higher education environment.
  • Experience of design and delivery of learning to groups of students as well as one-to-one guidance.   
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills and confidence presenting to groups.

Salary: £34,308 - £42,155 per annum (Grade 5)
