About the Role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Parkinson`s disease group within the Preventive Neurology Unit (PNU). The post holder will oversee the management all aspects of three major grant funded studies (PPMI, PREDICT-PD and Slow-SPEED) alongside the Principal Investigator. This includes the delivery of project milestones, developing of detailed project management and monitoring systems, managing and coordinating complex tasks, stakeholder management and the financial management of the projects.

About You

Candidates must have a good undergraduate degree and a post graduate degree or equivalent professional qualifications. Sound project and finance management experience are essential as well as good interpersonal skills and to be able to perform in a fast paced research environment. Knowledge of Parkinson`s disease or other neurodegenerative disorders are a bonus.

About the Centre

The Centre for Prevention, Detection and Diagnosis is at the forefront of international research into the prevention and control of neurological disease and cancer. The Preventive Neurology Unit has particularly active research programmes in multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and dementia. The Centre for Prevention, Detection and Diagnosis also has major expertise in cancer screening, awareness and early diagnosis, and statistical methods for clinical trials and epidemiology, and the postholder would have access to expertise within these areas to support their professional development.
