The role
The Open University is recruiting a Senior Broadcast Platforms and Partnerships Manager.
The post has management responsibility for OU Connect, the OU’s dedicated broadcast site supporting the OU/BBC Partnership. The successful candidate will enable delivery of core online and digital components of the University’s partnership with the BBC, ensuring efficient operational management of the creation, production and delivery of online and digital content related to OU/BBC partnership projects. You will be required to manage, develop and enhance a range of broadcast platforms and partnership opportunities to enable the OU/BBC to diversify and extend its reach and engagement.
Skills and experience
Do you have extensive and demonstrable experience working for the BBC or another public service broadcaster, managing and developing online and digital media products and services, across platforms, within the last two – three years?
Do you have experience of online/digital content creation/editorial for engagement at scale, working with digital and online media tools for delivery and publication within relevant guidelines, policies and technical frameworks.
You will need extensive, demonstrable experience of forging and maintaining productive and influential relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Excellent current BBC/PSB platform and content network contacts are required together with an eagerness to proactively learn about new innovations, and to encourage and support ideas and new ways of working.
Line-management experience and demonstrable evidence of managing individuals, along with a prove ability of budget management and forecasting are essential.
