When you join BU, you become a part of a learning community that strives to make an impact on the world around us – aiming for a more sustainable, inclusive and healthy society. Our motto is to learn is to change and it’s a principle that runs through everything we do. By joining us you will be provided with opportunities in your personal and professional development to help you thrive and achieve your full potential.

The opportunity

As a Reporting Systems Developer, you will work in the PRIME Team, an acronym for Planning, Risk, Intel, Management and Enhancement.  PRIME was formed in order to provide a more coordinated planning, risk, and management information function.  This opportunity will allow you to play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of the Information Management Platform. Bringing new ideas, you will maximise the use of related technology infrastructure including the data warehouse, business intelligence tools and systematic reporting of management information. You will play an integral role in optimising data from source systems so it can be used in further analytical presentation.

About you

You will ideally come from a similar role, preferably working within a Higher Education, or a large organisation operating across multiple disciplinary teams.  You will be an innovator, with a creative mindset combined with technical experience of building and using data warehouse platforms. With extensive experience of MS SQL Server and relational databases, you will work collaboratively with our IT colleagues, playing a pivotal role in the link between our teams. You will have a customer orientated approach, excellent interpersonal skills and will have the passion and enthusiasm for creating a great staff experience.
