Reports to: Higher Management

Overseeing the daily activities and duties at a centre is the direct responsibility of a Centre Manager. They handle the security, operational and financial matters while overseeing the booking of resources.

A Centre Manager usually performs many of the following tasks:

  • Managing a Centre including overseeing centre management, health and safety and proactively manage staff.
  • Liaising with Head Office
  • Meeting and exceeding targets
  • Preparing weekly or monthly reports
  • Attending management meetings
  • Taking advantage of business opportunities
  • Performing administrative duties
  • Budgeting
  • Overseeing the upkeep of the building
  • Supervising staff
  • Handling daily ad hoc responsibilities

  • Being computer literate including creating data sheets within Excel
  • Being innovative, creative and motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Being exceedingly organised
  • Being able to relate to people
  • Being influential, flexible, assertive and discrete
  • Leadership and management qualities including leading by example
  • Being an effective team player
  • Office management
  • Project management
  • Time management

Requirements and Education:

  • Ideally minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Management qualifications
  • Proven track record and evidence of managing a centre (ideally 500 – 1000+ students within UK Higher Education)
