We are delighted to be recruiting a new and exciting role providing technical support to world leading research and interdisciplinary collaboration in Sussex Neuroscience, a Sussex university Centre of Excellence.
In the role of Specialist Technician, you will be based in the School of Life Sciences and work within a small friendly team of academic and technical services colleagues to:
This full-time role is focused on electronics development, equipment development and maintenance, supporting the Sussex Neuroscience workshop. You will have defined goals and tasks that adjust over the course of the year.
Success in this role will require technical and organisational capability, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritise and find solutions that are effective, and also deliverable in an appropriate timeline.
You will have an interest in the possibilities of Open source and Open research implementation in terms of impact on society and the world. In return you will enjoy a dynamic environment working with academic and technical services colleagues, to achieve shared goals.
