Are you excited to change the world and help find new treatments for patients living with ill health? Would you like to help train our doctors of tomorrow? Do you want to help advance knowledge and understanding of disease? Are you keen to ensure that medical research is communicated to patients and family members?
We are seeking to employ a Senior Philanthropy Officer to help develop philanthropy and advancement projects for medical research, student support and teaching and research facilities at the University of Edinburgh.
This is a great role for a candidate looking to grow their verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills within an established team. The department offer support and training and this is an excellent opportunity to learn or further develop fundraising skills.
You will work to create and build a portfolio of funders and maintain contact with academic and support staff across health-related projects. Key areas of focus include generating support for priority research, teaching, social responsibility, student scholarship and other programmes for college advancement, and engaging donors, alumni and other stakeholders.
The University of Edinburgh uses an “advancement” model for its stakeholder engagement, and you will work with alumni engagement colleagues to enrich the experiences for students, alumni and staff in the School.
